Inspired by a true story, Loretta and her wiry friend, Em, live in a home for the aged in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. Their days are the same and their banter circuitous. But when Loretta learns that her daughters are about to sell the family home, she travels back in time to the days of her Yodeling Cowgirl fame, and the choices she made for happiness.
Now in its 29th season, the WPS is a developmental program dedicated to providing a working forum for the unique and underserved voice of women writing for the theatre today. Plays presented in the developmental WPS program are finalists in the Susan Glaspell Award competition, and are under consideration for full production in a subsequent season at CSC. The WPS has helped to develop the work of over 70 playwrights producing more than 15 world premieres.
